A few quick pointers on what's going on here...
On the left of the screen (frameset), are the details of who, what & where, with a list of the canoe clubs that are racing. Clicking on the name of the club will bring up a list of the paddlers (soon as we get them) and a photo of the crew. Along the bottom of the frameset are links to the latest Hawai`i weather forecast, buoy reports & satellite views

The Bankoh Moloka`i Hoe outrigger canoe race is considered to be the Men's World Championship Of Outrigger Canoe Racing and the participants are some of the world's best paddling athletes. On a good day, the course - 41 miles across the Ka`iwi Channel from the island of Moloka`i to O`ahu - is one of the roughest waterways in the Pacific...
On a bad day it can be downright terrifying and pushes the limits of human endurance.

This is the 46th running of the race and the course has changed 7 times over the years, finishing at various times at Magic Island, Sans Souci Beach and the Moana Hotel.

The plan, here online - is to upload progress reports and digipix
LIVE via CelTel connect to the 'Net, as the 108 canoe fleet makes it's way across to the Fort DeRussy finish line on Waikiki Beach, O`ahu.

After the race, the crowd of paddlers, friends & family are invited to an Awards Ceremony and Pau Channel Party at the Ocean Club at Restaurant Row

One last thing...
A Big Mahalo To Bank of Hawaii, The Skippers & Crews of the Escort Boat Fleet, and all the Sponsors of the season's Grand Finale of Hawaii's Official State Sport!!
