Transpac 97
Online Guide To Waikiki and O`ahu
And the Outer Islands

Welcome Transpac Racers, Friends & Family!

Here are a few pointers on where and what to do....
We'll be adding to this list, so keep checking back

First off, have a quick look around the islands:

O`ahu
Kaua`i
Maui
Big Island of Hawai`i

There's lots to see and do around this rock, but if you have yet to experience real Hawaiian style and genuine Polynesian hospitality, then the Polynesian Cultural Center is worth taking the trip up to the North Shore and the no ka oi place for a Luau and Dinner Show.

Other local favorites would be:

The Chart House - in the marina next to the Hawaii Prince Hotel...
The seafood at the Chart House will bring you back again and again...
Happy Hour from 4 to 6 with FREE pupu's

Duke's Canoe Club - right on Waikiki Beach - about a 15 minute walk in your bare feet down the beach toward Diamond Head, located in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Hotel (Outrigger Main)
Dukes is THE place to kick back and party on the beach - and well worth the short holo holo to get there....

And of course the parties at Hawaii YC, Kaneohe YC and Waikiki YC are not to be missed either.

And after you've partied till you drop - there is one last thing that is sure to be a blast...
The Plywood Cup Challenge will be getting underway July 18th at 0900, in Ala Moana Park, next to Waikiki YC

Stay tuned to this page as we figger out what else is up - and online - for your "extra-curricular" activites while in town
